About the Role
The FP&A Intern analyzes and interprets financial and operating data for business planning and operations management. This position aids in providing accurately and timely pre-defined financial reports and detailed analysis on business performance. This role provides support for functional departmental objectives such as forecasting accuracy and other functional organizational goals. This role requires close interaction with functional business leaders.
Reports to: Senior Financial Analyst
Pay Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Responsibilities
- Assists the analytical support and review to management of P&L projections/forecasts, budgeting, and/or account analysis related to specific areas of the business
- Develops and distributes standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting
- Assists with the development, preparation, and presentation of short- and long-range financial plans
- Assists with complex modeling in various areas of the business as needed
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a BS/BA degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics
EXPERIENCE
- Previous internship experience a plus
SKILLS
- Good communication skills, able to multi-task, manage shifting priorities and problem solve
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative, seek information, and work independently
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel
