India General Manager

About the Role

A-LIGN is looking for an experienced General Manager for our India Office. As the General Manager, you will provide guidance and strategic direction on the plans for operating our international office in India including providing direction on how to enhance the Service Delivery operations processes for managing and completing project tasks effectively. The General Manager will oversee and supervise the Senior Project Manager for India and report directly to the US-based General Counsel and Associate Director of International Operations.

The General Manager will provide oversight and ensure the effective communication and partnership between the US-based and India-based Service Delivery teams. The General Manager will also provide strategic direction and oversight for the setup and management of the business operation in the India international office. This includes providing guidance on (1) defining and optimizing an effective workflow process for the communication and coordination of IT compliance testing between the US-based and India-based Service Delivery teams and (2) building out and enacting the supporting policies and procedures regarding how work will be completed in the India office. The General Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the status of setting up the Service Delivery Operations for the India Office as well as key metrics relating to the India Service Delivery operations weekly.

Reports to: US-based General Counsel and Associate Director of International Operations

Pay Classification: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and strategic direction on the plans for setting up an international office in India
  • Provide strategic direction on how IT compliance testing will be completed by the India Service Delivery team
  • Provide oversight and ensure the effective communication and partnership between the US-based and India-based Service Delivery teams
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction on defining an effective workflow process for the communication and coordination of IT compliance testing between the US-based and India-based Service Delivery teams
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction on building out the supporting policies and procedures regarding how work will be completed in the India office.
  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and report updates and issues to the US-based General Counsel and Associate Director of International Operations
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction on the hiring of the India Service Delivery resources
  • Provide guidance and strategic direction on building out the India experienced hire training program, curriculum, and schedule
  • Monitor and report on the status of setting up the Service Delivery Operations for the India Office to leadership weekly
  • Monitor and report on the key India business operations metrics (g., testing completed; quality of deliverables; projects completed) to leadership weekly

EXPERIENCE

  • Over 8 years of professional services (e.g., consulting, advisory, audit, compliance, etc.) experience
  • Over 5 years of experience coordinating and working with an India international office
  • Experience setting up and overseeing a compliance program internationally
  • Degree in business administration or a related field required
  • Over 5 years of experience working as a General Manager in professional services
  • Thorough understanding of project management and tools to assist with project management
  • Experience with monitoring and reporting on key metrics and status updates for larger-scale projects
