ABOUT WILLIAM

William is a Principal in Hg’s Genesis fund, where he has been involved with more than 15 completed transactions since joining the firm, including platform investments in Access Group, Gen II, Trackunit, FE fundinfo and Ideagen (amongst others). He currently sits on the Board of FE fundinfo and is actively involved in Hg’s investment in Ideagen.

William joined Hg in 2019 in London, before moving to San Francisco in 2022 to establish Hg’s presence on the west coast. Prior to Hg, William was an investment banker at Perella Weinberg Partners in London, where he spent more than three years in the TMT group. William received his BA from University College London where he majored in Economics and French.
